FAQ

Questions, answered.

Don't see yours below? We'd love to hear from you.

When is tuition due?+

Tuition is due by the first of every month. For example, tuition for September is due by September 1st. A $20 late fee will be charged to accounts not paid by the 7th of the month. Parents are encouraged to enroll in auto pay to avoid late fees.

What forms of payment do you accept?+

Credit card payments are accepted through the parent's Brightwheel account, with a processing fee added to each charge. ACH or electronic checks can also be used through Brightwheel at no additional fee. Cash or checks are accepted for in-person payments made at the school.

What is your drop off and pick up policy?+

Please drop off your child no more than 5 minutes before class time. The first 15 minutes of class is welcome time, so arriving earlier isn't necessary. Please pick up your child no later than 10 minutes after class ends. If an emergency makes you late, let us know beforehand if possible. A teacher and aide will stay with your child until you arrive.

Do you have quiet time or snack time?+

Midway through class we have a short rest time with quiet music, a story, and a snack. If your child has special dietary needs or allergies, please contact your teacher to arrange for appropriate snacks.

Does my child need to be potty trained?+

Being potty-trained means your child can take care of all bathroom needs independently. If an accident happens, we will call you and keep your child comfortable until you arrive. If your child is not fully potty-trained, please speak with us to see if accommodations can be made.

How much notice needs to be given to discontinue preschool?+

Enrolling at Apple Tree Schoolhouse is a 9-month commitment. If circumstances require you to withdraw, parents must provide 30 days' notice. Tuition payments are still due during the 30-day notice period. After the notice period is complete, parents are no longer responsible for tuition payments.

What is the registration fee used for?+

A non-refundable registration fee of $85 is required when a child is enrolled. This fee holds your child's spot in the program and is used for supplies and other school materials.

What is your waiting list policy?+

Waiting list priority is given to students currently enrolled in the school. To prioritize your child for a full class, first enroll in an open class, then contact the school to place your child on the waiting list for your desired class. The non-refundable registration fee is charged when you enroll, but it is not charged again when your child transfers into the desired class if it becomes available.

Do you have auto pay?+

Yes! Parents can enroll in auto pay through their Brightwheel account using a credit card or ACH. Credit card payments include a transaction fee, while ACH payments have no cost. Parents are strongly encouraged to sign up for auto pay to avoid late fees.

What if my child is sick? Can he/she still come to school?+

Preventing the spread of illness is a high priority. If your child is showing symptoms of illness, please keep them home. If your child becomes ill while at school, they will be isolated from other students and you will be contacted to pick them up.

When is school closed for no-school days?+

Apple Tree Schoolhouse follows the Davis County School District calendar for all no-school days, including holidays, professional development days, teacher comp days, and contract days. We share reminders through our parent communication channels before each closure. View the district calendar at https://www.davis.k12.ut.us/o/dsd/page/school-year-calendars.
